Searching the Yell County Court Docket
Start a Yell County court docket search at the statewide portal. Search ARCourts lets you look up cases by participant name or Case ID. A hit can show the court, the case type, the judge, filings, upcoming events, charges, dispositions, and judgments. Every Arkansas circuit court, including Yell County, supplies at least the statistical case information. Administrative Order 8 requires that baseline. How much more appears depends on each court's system and public-access settings. Some District Court information shows up, but coverage there is not complete.
Before you search, gather the party's correct name. Include any organization name and the court-issued case number. Yell County publishes no number format of its own. So copy the punctuation exactly as it appears on the court notice. Treat any result as a lead. Match the court, the case type, and the venue before you open the case-information view.
- Choose Participants when the number is unknown, or Case ID when it appears on a court paper.
- Enter verified terms. Avoid treating a same-name result as proof that it is the correct case.
- Open case information and read filings and events in date order.
- Confirm a future event with the clerk after a reset, recent order, closure, or other change.
- Ask the proper clerk for an unavailable paper or a certified copy.
Yell County Search ARCourts Fields
The portal carries the Search ARCourts branding, yet its web address still contains cconnect, a leftover from the retired Public CourtConnect interface. Several routes into Yell County case information sit on the public side. The court does not publish its required search markers, wildcard behavior, export limits, or refresh interval.
| Search Route | Fields | Best Use |
|---|---|---|
| Participants | First, middle, last, or organization/case description | When the case number is unknown |
| Case ID | Court-issued identifier | For the narrowest Yell County docket lookup |
| Judgments | Judgment-related public query | Locating available judgment information |
| Display Case Information | Selected result | Opening public filings, events, and outcomes |
The official participant-search screen shows how a public Yell County docket query begins.
Its separate name, organization, and Case ID routes help reduce broad, ambiguous searches.
Inside a Yell County Court Docket
Think of a Yell County court docket as a chronological index. It is not the full case file. An entry can confirm that a complaint, motion, notice, order, or judgment was filed. The paper itself stays out of view. Search ARCourts attaches links to some public documents. It promises no image for every entry. So a missing link proves nothing about whether the filing exists.
| Case ID | The court's identifier; use the exact number printed on a notice. |
|---|---|
| Parties | Public names and roles, subject to access restrictions. |
| Filings | Dates and descriptions for papers or events indexed by the clerk. |
| Future Events | Available scheduling data that still needs court confirmation. |
| Court and Judge | The court level and assigned judicial officer, not necessarily the file's street location. |
| Disposition or Judgment | The public outcome when one has been entered and released. |
Two Yell County Courthouse Dockets
Yell County keeps two county seats and two courthouses. The official county page lists county offices at 101 East 5th Street in Danville and 106 Union Street in Dardanelle. Under the 2026 Fifteenth Judicial Circuit plan, Circuit Court work is split by division, subject, and courthouse. A result labeled simply "Yell County" may not tell you where the paper record lives.
Call with the case number before you drive over. In Danville, the Circuit and County Clerk answers at 479-495-4850. In Dardanelle, call 479-229-4404. Ask which counter holds the case. Ask whether staff can mail a copy. Also ask whether the courthouse offers broader access than the remote display does.
The county's courthouse information shows why venue belongs in every Yell County court docket search.
Both locations belong in any search and request plan. Neither one can be assumed from the county name alone.
Courts That Keep Dockets in Yell County
Circuit Court is Arkansas's general-jurisdiction trial court. In Yell County its docket spans criminal, civil, domestic-relations, juvenile, and probate classifications. District Court works with limited jurisdiction through Northern/Dardanelle and Southern/Danville departments, handling traffic, misdemeanors, ordinance cases, preliminary criminal work, and limited civil or small-claims matters. An appeal from District Court can later open a Circuit Court case.
| Court | Docket Covers | Where to Search |
|---|---|---|
| Yell County Circuit Court | Felony, general civil, domestic, probate, juvenile, and District Court appeals | Search ARCourts, then Circuit and County Clerk |
| District Court Northern | Dardanelle traffic, misdemeanor, ordinance, and limited civil matters | Search ARCourts where covered, then District Court clerk |
| District Court Southern | Danville traffic, misdemeanor, ordinance, and limited civil matters | Search ARCourts where covered, then District Court clerk |
Missing Yell County Cases Online
An empty result does not mean no Yell County case exists. District Court coverage varies. Older files may sit on paper, in a clerk system, or at a courthouse terminal. Administrative Order 19 also bars access to sealed or expunged records. It blocks protected identifiers, juvenile information, and other confidential material too. A name misspelling or the wrong court level can sink a search too.
Try again with the Case ID, a careful name variation, and the right court. Then pick up the phone. Circuit Court questions go to the Circuit and County Clerk at the proper seat. District Court questions go to the Chief District Court Clerk at 479-229-1389. Give staff the case number, the court, the party role, the document title, and the rough filing date. They can explain the access procedure. They cannot give legal advice or lift a seal.
A blank public search is inconclusive. Confirm the court, venue, spelling, record age, and access status before drawing any conclusion.
How to Find Court Dates and Settings
The court publishes no standalone daily Yell County calendar. Begin with Search ARCourts "Future Events." Then read any notice of hearing, scheduling order, or later reset filed in the case. The next step depends on the level. For Circuit Court, contact the Circuit and County Clerk or the assigned judge's office. For District Court, contact that clerk.
The current district plan shows a rhythm worth knowing. Dardanelle generally holds criminal, traffic, civil, and small-claims sessions on the second and fourth Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. Danville generally holds criminal and traffic sessions on the third Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. These patterns do not set a date for a named case. Holidays, weather, continuances, special settings, and new orders all shift the schedule. Use the detailed Yell County Court Dates page, then confirm with the court.
Yell County Docket Terms
Short labels can change what a Yell County court docket entry means. Read entries in order. Open the filed order when one is available. A filing title only shows what the clerk indexed, not that every statement inside the paper holds up.
- Future event
- Search ARCourts scheduling information, subject to later court action.
- Docket call
- A session used to review readiness or status across several cases.
- Continuance
- A postponement authorized by the court.
- Reset
- A replacement setting; it does not mean the case was dismissed.
- Disposition
- A charge-level or case-level outcome, which may differ across charges.
When a reset appears, compare the dates, check for a later order, and call the clerk. The most recent valid order plus direct confirmation from the court controls.
Public Access to Court Dockets
Arkansas Supreme Court Administrative Order 19 governs access to judicial case records. The order covers records in any form. It draws a line between two kinds of access. You can see some things at the courthouse. Other material reaches you electronically. Public access is the presumption. Federal law, Arkansas statutes, court rules, and court orders can still limit it. When confidential data can be redacted, the rest of the filing may stay open. Sealing is different. It can close off an entire filing or case.
Key Arkansas Rules:
Administrative Order 19 governs public access, redaction, and confidential judicial case information.
Administrative Orders 8, 14, 18, and 21 address case reporting, circuit plans, District Court administration, and electronic filing.
Ark. Code §§ 16-90-1401 et seq. and 9-27-309 cover criminal-record sealing and juvenile confidentiality.
Yell County Filing Technology
Arkansas runs several court systems. Each has its own job. Search ARCourts is the layer the public can query for case information. Arkansas eFlex handles electronic filing. It sends notices to registered users. It is not a docket reader for the general public. SCALES works behind the scenes for specialty-court referrals and case management. The e-Traffic service takes payments only for participating courts. It did not list Yell County, Dardanelle, or Danville when checked on August 13, 2026.
The Arkansas Judiciary's portal overview describes what Search ARCourts covers. It also tells which fields the public can see.
Keep the tasks straight: filing a paper, managing a case inside the court, reading the public docket, and paying a ticket are four different jobs. The ARCourts Build Initiative lays out a staged modernization effort underway in 2026.
District functions are shifting in stages. Check portal coverage and payment participation on the day you plan to use them, since today's answer may not hold next month.
Docket Records at the Clerk's Office
Circuit and County Clerk Anna Ward holds the Yell County Circuit Court records, covering criminal, civil, domestic-relations, juvenile, and probate cases, plus County Court records. Chief District Court Clerk Brandi Chandler keeps the Northern and Southern District Court dockets. A common mistake is assuming records move to the Circuit Clerk just because both court levels sit inside Yell County. They do not.
For a Circuit Court copy, reach the proper Danville or Dardanelle counter by phone, in person, or by email at yellcountyclerk@arkansasclerks.com, or mail your request to P.O. Box 219, Danville, AR 72833. Ask before faxing. Official pages publish different fax numbers for different presentations. District Court requests should start at 479-229-1389. The county publishes no copy-fee sheet or fixed turnaround, so ask for a quote and current instructions when you call.

Yell County Docket Filing Context
The Fifteenth Judicial Circuit covers Conway, Logan, Scott, and Yell counties. One earlier administrative plan counted 4,440 new Circuit Court filings across all four counties in 2022. That figure is not a Yell-only total. Do not read it as one. It does help explain something practical. A Circuit judge can keep a principal office outside Yell County and still handle a local division assignment, given the shared caseload.
The AOC annual report provides statewide court-system context.
The separate SCALES program page shows that specialty-court data may also live in an internal system.
Public events still come through Search ARCourts or a clerk, subject to confidentiality limits.
Yell County Docket Copies
A portal printout is not the same thing. A clerk-certified Yell County court docket copy is different. The printout is a handy view of public case information. A certified copy carries the clerk's authentication. That seal does not vouch for the truth of any allegation in a filed paper. It only confirms the copy is an authentic court record.
Yell County publishes no ordinary-copy fee sheet or certified-copy request form. Arkansas Code § 21-6-402 lists a $5 certificate-and-seal item plus separate transcript-preparation rates. Those figures do not settle the total price of a docket sheet or photocopy. Ask the proper clerk for a current quote, a delivery estimate, and payment instructions. Do this before sending money.
| Requested Item | Published Status |
|---|---|
| Plain docket copy | Local price not found; ask the clerk |
| Certified docket or judgment | Total price not found; request page and certification quote |
| Certificate and seal | $5 under Ark. Code § 21-6-402; confirm applicability |
When you write, name the court, venue, Case ID, case style, exact document title, filing date, desired copy type, and delivery method. Skip the extras. Never send a Social Security or bank-account number a clerk has not asked for.
Yell County Court Dockets by City
The official 2020 Census incorporated-place table names Yell County's five largest cities. Those are Dardanelle, Danville, Ola, Plainview, and Belleville. Current Arkansas court administration lists just two District Court departments, Dardanelle and Danville. The other city pages do not invent municipal courts that do not exist. They show how to use the citation or case notice, Search ARCourts, and the centralized clerks to find the right department. The Census city and town resources add context for the city-by-city routing. One rule applies to every city link below. Confirm the court named on your document before you pay, appear, or request a record.

Map and Directions to the Yell County Courthouses
Yell County is unusual in having two county seats and two courthouses: Danville, 101 East 5th Street, and Dardanelle, 106 Union Street. Circuit Court criminal, civil, domestic-relations, juvenile, and probate files are split between the two buildings under the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit's dual-seat plan, so which building holds a given file depends on the venue and division assigned to that case. District Court runs a parallel split, with a Southern department in Danville and a Northern department in Dardanelle for traffic, misdemeanor, and small-claims matters. Call the clerk with the case number before traveling to confirm the correct building.
